The Lewis County Board of Health (BOH) is accepting applications from Lewis County residents interested in serving on the Lewis County Public Health and Social Services (PHSS) Advisory Board, according to a news release from the BOH.
Applications are due by 3 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3.
The 11-member volunteer board provides recommendations to the Board of Health on a variety of community health, environmental health and social service issues. Five positions are open: one homeless/housing representative, one medical provider representative, and three at-large members. At-large positions are for individuals with a general interest in investigating local health policy and providing recommendations regarding health matters in Lewis County, the release stated.
PHSS Advisory Board members are appointed by the BOH and serve three-year terms. Newly appointed terms will begin Jan. 1, 2026. The board meets at 4 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month in the BOCC Hearing Room of the Historic Lewis County Courthouse at 351 NW North Street in Chehalis.
