The Lewis County Public Utility District (PUD) will host three open house meetings in March for the public to attend and learn more about the PUD’s Meter Refresh project.

The open house meetings will take place in each PUD commissioner district.

The first will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, in the Adna High School commons, located at 121 Adna School Road. The second will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at the Bob Lyle Community Center located at 700 Main St. in Morton. The final open house will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, March 22, at the Winlock High School commons, located at 241 N. Military Road, Winlock.

The Meter Refresh project replaces all meters in the PUD’s service territory with Honeywell Advanced Meter Infrastructure meters, also known as smart meters or digital meters.

“These meetings will give our community the opportunity to ask questions and learn about the finer details of this project,” PUD General Manager David Plotz said in a news release. “The commissioners will each get to communicate with their constituents in their own areas.”

Along with the PUD commissioners, there will also be PUD staff and Honeywell staff in attendance to help answer questions.
