The Lewis County Public Utility District (PUD) has earned a clean financial statement audit from independent accounting firm Moss Adams, the PUD stated in a news release.
The report affirms that the PUD’s financial records are accurate with no findings of errors.
“This outcome reflects the hard work and commitment of our entire team,” PUD General Manager David Plotz stated in the news release. “We are dedicated to continue being responsible stewards of taxpayer funds and ensuring efficient, effective operations.”
Moss Adams conducted an examination of the district’s financial statements, internal controls and accounting practices. The audit concluded with no material weaknesses or significant deficiencies identified, according to the release.
“The outcome of this audit reinforces the trust our community places in us,” PUD Chief Financial Officer Doug Streeter stated in the release. “Our finance team continues to uphold the highest standards to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.”
