Lewis County officials holding veterans town hall at Veterans Memorial Museum on Aug. 6

Lewis County Public Health & Social Services officials will hold a veterans town hall meeting for veterans, their families and community members to discuss local issues affecting the veteran community along with providing information on veterans benefits service and access to other resources.

The town hall will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 6, starting at 6 p.m. inside the Veterans Memorial Museum, located at 100 SW Veterans Way in Chehalis, according to a county news release.

A panel of local and state officials, including a local veteran representative, will lead discussion on various topics including healthcare, benefits, employment opportunities and support services in Lewis County.



“We are committed to supporting our veterans and ensuring they have access to the resources they need and deserve,” Meja Handlen, Lewis County Public Health & Social Services director, stated in the release. “This town hall is an opportunity to hear directly from our veterans, understand their needs and collaborate on enhancing their quality of life.”

All local veterans, their family members and members of the public are invited to attend the town hall.
