The Lewis County Master Gardeners WSU Extension has announced an upcoming workshop titled “Up-Potting Plants” will take place at 10 a.m. on April 5 at the Fort Borst Park greenhouse shed in Centralia.
This session will cover techniques for moving seedlings and young plants into larger containers, a crucial step in ensuring their continued growth.
Attendees will receive hands-on guidance and tips to make the up-potting process as easy as possible, as well as knowledge on when and how to up-pot, reducing transplant shock and maintaining healthy root systems.
To ensure enough materials are available, attendees are asked to pre-register for free three to four days prior to the workshop. To pre-register, participants should call 360-740-1212 or email julie.pirtle@lewiscountywa.gov from 9 a.m to 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
The Lewis County Master Gardeners is a volunteer organization dedicated to promoting sustainable and research-based gardening practices through education, community outreach and hands-on learning opportunities.
