A Cinebar man accused of uploading child sexual abuse material to the internet in October 2024 has been arrested and charged in Lewis County Superior Court.

The Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force reportedly sent a notice to the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 9 that a subject with the display name “kreg177” had used a computer in Salkum between 12:47 p.m. and 1:34 p.m. on Oct. 6 to upload 14 files containing child sexual abuse content to the Kik messenger app, according to charging documents filed in Lewis County Superior Court on Thursday.

A Lewis County Sheriff’s Office detective submitted a search warrant to the Google Law Enforcement Response System for the account information of the user who uploaded the files. The data allegedly linked the account to Raymond Moises Sanchez Harris, 21.

Sanchez Harris is accused of using his Kik account to purchase and trade child sexual abuse material, according to court documents.

Detectives went to Sanchez Harris’ address in Cinebar to contact him on May 21, but learned “he was currently at the Lewis County Courthouse for unrelated matters,” according to court documents.

When contacted at the Lewis County Courthouse, Sanchez Harris allegedly agreed to speak with detectives and confirmed “he had previously received pornography involving children at some point,” according to court documents.

He allegedly cooperated with detectives and gave them the passcode to his phone and information to access his email.

“I think that speaks volumes in how he can follow rules and regulations of the court,” defense attorney Rachael Tiller said during Sanchez Harris’ preliminary hearing in Lewis County Superior Court on Thursday.

Sanchez Harris was arrested and booked into the Lewis County Jail at approximately 1:09 p.m. on May 21, according to jail records.

He was charged Thursday, May 22, with eight counts of first-degree possession of depictions of a minor engaged in sexually explicit conduct.

Bail is set at $25,000.

His conditions of release include a provision prohibiting him from accessing the internet and prohibiting him from having any contact with children or going anywhere children are known to congregate, such as schools or parks, until his case is resolved.

Arraignment is scheduled for Thursday, May 29.
