Whether you’re a model train collector or looking to learn more about paranormal activity, the Lewis County Historical Museum (LCHM) has events coming up this month you might be interested in.

First will be the Fall Lewis County Model Railroad Train Show and Swap Meet, which will be held at the Blue Pavilion  in the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds located at 1909 South Gold Street, Centralia. The museum is partnering with the Lewis County Model Railroad Club to put on the show.

The show will feature functional model railroad displays along with many vendors. It will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 21, and from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 22. Admission is $5 per person. Children ages 10 and under get in free.

Then, on Saturday, Oct. 28, three opportunities will be available to take a ghost tour through the LCHM — which some believe is haunted — led by the South Sound Paranormal Research Team. Tours start at 6, 7 and 8 p.m.

“You will be led through the museum and told of the ghostly experiences that have been had by many people throughout the years the museum has been open,” read an excerpt from the Eventbrite ticket sale page. “They will lead you upstairs to the attic where a lot of (electronic voice phenomenon) and videos have been captured.”

Tickets for all three tours are $20 and can be purchased online at  https://bit.ly/45pw4lC or in person at the LCHM, located at 599 NW Front Way in downtown Chehalis.

Additionally, the museum will also be participating in the Trick or Treat Transit event in downtown Chehalis being organized by Experience Chehalis on Tuesday, Oct. 31, from 3 to 5 p.m.
