Lewis County food safety program moves to online permitting March 1

Posted

Lewis County Public Health and Social Services is changing how food permits are submitted, according to a recent news release.

Starting March 1, food permit paperwork must be submitted online.

To make the change easier, there will be a short transition period. Paper permits and other paper documents will still be accepted through April 2026.

Moving to an online system will help staff process permits faster and keep records easier to find, the release stated. Permit staff can help applicants follow the new steps and submit documents online.

Lewis County Public Health & Social Services thanks the community for its patience and cooperation during this change.
