Lewis County Elections Logic and Accuracy Test Scheduled

Ahead of the April special election, Lewis County Elections shared a news release reminding the public they are invited to various activities of the voting tests and counting process. 

On Friday, March 17 at 10 a.m., at the Lewis County Auditor’s Office, 351 NW North St.,

Chehalis, a test of the Accessible Voting Unit will be conducted. 

A ballot from each unique ballot style will be marked and printed from the unit and incorporated into the test deck for a Logic and Accuracy test on Jan. 9. Both parts of these tests are open to the public for observation.



On Monday, March 20 at 10 a.m., at the Lewis County Auditor’s Office, 351 NW North St., Chehalis, a Logic and Accuracy Test will be conducted on the tabulation system for the April 25 special election. This testing is also open to the public for observation.

After the election, the Lewis County Canvassing Board will meet twice. These are open public meetings. In the first, on Thursday May 4 at 9 a.m., the board will determine status of provisional, challenged or questionable ballots, if there are any.

On Friday May 5 at 9 a.m., they’ll then review and determine the status of any provisional, challenged or questionable ballot not previously reviewed. Following that, the board will certify the election.
