Lewis County Coroner Warren McLeod released the identity Monday of a man found dead in a burned vehicle earlier this month in Chehalis.
The man was identified as Robert A. Mansker, 48, of Kelso. The cause and manner of his death are pending further investigation.
Chehalis fire and police personnel responded at 1 a.m. May 6 to the 1900 block of Northeast Kresky Avenue to a report of a vehicle fire.
They found a 1992 Honda Accord with Washington license plates fully involved in flames. After extinguishing the flames, a body was found in the car.
The Lewis County Coroner’s Office tentatively identified the body last week, but waited for dental records to release the victim’s name.
