Lewis County residents interested in learning to sew or improve their sewing skills can sign up for a one-day adult sewing class from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 11 at Logan Hill Grange, 105 Hewitt Road, Chehalis.
At the class, the Lewis County Clothing and Textile Advisors (CTA) will teach students new to the hobby how to use a sewing machine, explain sewing machine annual maintenance procedures, and help more experienced students complete sewing projects, a news release from the CTA stated.
Participants are advised to bring a sack lunch as the class spans the lunch hour.
The cost for the class is $30, payable in advance, according to the release. To register for the class, call Liz at 360-269-8632 or Sheron at 253-318-4990.
For individuals without sewing machines, the MRC Tool Bucket Library has several sewing machines that can be checked out. Visit tinyurl.com/4bvn8fdm to learn about membership and browse inventory.
The CTA is a group of volunteer sewers who assist individuals in learning to sew, proving their sewing skills, performing family mending, and learning to quilt.
