Whether you’re a fan of classic and custom cars or love hopping curbs on a BMX bike — or maybe you enjoy both — you’re invited to the third annual Lewis County Autism Coalition Car/BMX Show, scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday, June 13, according to the event’s social media page.
While last year’s show was postponed one day due to inclement weather, the forecast is sunny throughout this upcoming weekend.
The show is once again being hosted by the Veterans Memorial Museum, located at 100 SW Veterans Way in Chehalis, and is also sponsored by B Side Bikes and Wellpoint of Washington among others.
Joining Lewis County Autism Coalition again for this year’s show is the Cornerstone Center for Development.
The first 100 kids at the show get a free Hot Wheels die-cast toy car. And along with cars and bikes on display, the show will have live music, food trucks and be sensory friendly, according to the Lewis County Autism Coalition’s Facebook page.
“We are also honored to welcome Bill ‘Cru Jones’ Allen from the iconic BMX film RAD!” The Lewis County Autism Coalition said in a Facebook post.
Additionally, trophies for the best cars and BMX bikes will be up for grabs, and a number of prizes including both bikes and ride-on miniature car toys for children will be raffled off, among a plethora of other prizes including a HD borescope camera for mechanics and a new grill and knife set.
Gates for show entrants open at 8 a.m. Registration for the show is $20 per car or BMX bike. Proceeds from the show benefit the Lewis County Autism Coalition.
