The Lewis County Auditor’s Office, located in the Lewis County Courthouse at 351 NW North St., Chehalis, will hold a test of the accessible voting unit at 9 a.m. Monday, Oct. 13.
A ballot from each ballot style will be marked and printed from the unit and incorporated into the test deck for the logic and accuracy test on Oct. 14, a news release from the auditor’s office stated.
The logic and accuracy test will be held at 8:30 a.m., Oct. 14, on the computer program for the Nov. 4 general election. This test is open to the public.
The Lewis County processing clerks will convene at 9 a.m. Oct. 27 at the Lewis County Courthouse, Room 128, 351 NW North St., Chehalis, to take oaths and be sworn in.
The processing clerks will then begin the processing of the Nov. 4 general election, according to the release. After removing all ballots from their designated envelopes, they will then inspect the ballots. These ballots will be released after 8 p.m. on election night.
Meetings of the Lewis County Canvassing Board are open public meetings, the release stated. They will be held at the Lewis County Courthouse and will continue until the following activities are completed:
• Nov. 24 at 9 a.m.: Determine status of provisional/challenged ballots, if any.
• Nov. 25 at 9 a.m.: Certify the election.
