Lewis County Auditor’s Office Prepares For Feb. 14 Special Election

The Lewis County Auditor’s Office tested its accessible voting unit Friday morning in preparation for its logic and accuracy test scheduled for 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 9. 

The test, conducted on a tabulation system for the upcoming Feb. 14 special election, is open to the public for observation. 

Following the election, the Lewis County Canvassing Board will meet Thursday, Feb. 23, to determine the status of any provisional, challenged or questionable ballots. On Friday, Feb. 24, the board will meet to review and determine the status of any provisional, challenged or questionable ballot not previously reviewed and to certify the election.

The meetings are both scheduled for 9 a.m. in the auditor’s office at the Lewis County Courthouse. Below is a brief summary of the propositions that will appear on the Feb. 14 ballot. 

Only voters affected by a specific proposition will see it on their special election ballots.

• Centralia School District No. 401: Replacement Educational Programs and Operations Levy



• Napavine School District No. 14: Bonds to Improve Safety and Expand and Renovate Junior/Senior High Facilities

• Toledo School District No. 237: Stadium Completion Project Capital Projects Levy

• Evaline School District No. 36: Replacement Educational Programs and Operations Levy
