Lewis County Auditor’s Office Announces Registration Deadlines for April 25 Special Election

In a statement released by the Lewis County Auditor’s office, the county announced the eight-day registration deadline for the April 25 special election. 

The Centralia School District’s replacement levy is the only item on the ballot. 

According to the auditor’s office, the last day to register to vote by mail, online or at a drivers’ licensing location will be April 18, which is also the last day to transfer or update existing voter registration information remotely. The application must be received no later than eight days before election day. 

The last day to register or update an address in-person will be election day on April 25. Changes can be made by visiting the local auditor’s office no later than 8 p.m. Updates can only be processed if voters have not already returned their ballots. 

The eight-day registration deadline is for all new registrations, address changes, county transfers and name changes done remotely by mail, online or at a drivers’ licensing location and must be received by the auditor’s office no later than Monday, April 18. 

Individuals may register, update their address or obtain registration forms at the auditor’s office in the Lewis County Courthouse at 351 NW North St. in Chehalis between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.



Registration can also be completed at all drivers’ licensing locations when updating or obtaining a drivers’ license.

Mail-in registration forms are available at all post office locations, libraries and school district offices. 

Online registration can be completed at www.votewa.gov. 

The auditor’s office is available to provide assistance with registration and voting to individuals with disabilities and the elderly.
