I’ve coached girls’ basketball for years, and I’ve watched women’s sports evolve firsthand.
In Congress, Marie Gluesenkamp Perez voted multiple times for biological males to compete in women’s sports.
As a coach, that matters to me.
She has voted against people using bathrooms that match their biological sex.
She has voted against “male” or “female” only to appear on forms for the Department of Defense, allowing pronouns like “ze/zir” and “xe/xem” on official government forms.
She has cosponsored a bill that would add gender identity to federal civil-rights protections, making it a Civil Rights Act violation to call a woman a woman, and a man a man.
She voted for gender transitions for minors who are using TRICARE, the health plan given to military members and their families.
She supports taxpayer-funded sex changes for criminals.
This isn’t about hate. It isn’t about refusing to treat anyone with dignity or respect. It’s about being willing to acknowledge reality and stand up for common sense. When we stop recognizing biological differences, we risk undermining the very protections and opportunities that women and girls fought for generations to secure.
When we put ideology ahead of safety, fairness and the rights of parents, we put real people at risk.
John Braun believes we can treat every person with dignity while still standing up for what is right. He won’t sit back and let Southwest Washington be pushed further and further down a radical path that ignores common sense and the values of the families who live here.
He will protect our kids, family values and women’s sports.
Vote Braun this November.
