Letter to the editor: What is normal?

Posted

I have always voted Republican and labeled myself as a “political conservative.”

As of now, I relabel myself as a “normal.” I will continue to vote Republican.

In today’s world, there are many people who are trying to promote very crazy, abnormal behavior, and considering unsuccessful political movements as acceptable or even desirable.

Countering these efforts are the always successful “normal” behaviors and politics.

So what is “normal?” I realize that if I have to answer this question for you, you may not be influenced by my letter.

What is “normal?”

The belief in the existence of a loving God the creator.

A man and a woman marry and have a family.

Women do not kill their babies.

To love and wish to protect our USA and to defend our U.S. Constitution.

Only females compete in women’s and girl’s sports.

Only females are allowed in girl’s and women’s showers and bathrooms.

Parents have the absolute right to manage their children’s lives.

Only legal immigrants are allowed into our country.

Capitalism is way superior to super state socialism.

If you tell lies, people will stop trusting you.

Human beings are more important than spotted owls.

Our U.S. is a free country.  Every citizen of our country is free to choose normal or not normal actions. The problem is not people’s choice of the not normal behaviors, it is their attempts to represent the abnormal as normal, especially attempts to teach our children to accept the abnormal as normal, attempting to change reality.

Normal has worked for thousands of years. So that is why I am voting for normal.
