To have unidentified ICE agents accosting people on the street and dragging them off into unmarked vehicles is an extremely bad idea. If Trump and his minions want to deport violent criminals, most Americans would agree to that. That is not what is happening.
People here legally and people here working hard and contributing well to our country and our economy are being detained without cause. California Border Patrol Blackhawk helicopters chasing down strawberry pickers in Ventura County? That is just nasty BS.
Someone appears to have tried to drill into King Donald's brain that these immigrants are vitally necessary to our economy. He says now he is going to pause the deportations of agricultural, hospitality and hotel workers. What about meat packers, roofers, construction workers, maids, cooks and landscapers? The King is so unpredictable his word is not to be trusted.
Trump is such a sycophant to Vladimir Putin. His claim to be able to end the war in Ukraine in 24 hours was always nothing but a bad joke. What will end the war is continued strong support of Ukraine to make Putin understand he can never win. Like President Biden's commitment.
Israel is doing whatever needs to be done to keep Prime Minister Netanyahu in office. Once out of office, he will be tried for corruption and likely go to prison. So, pulverizing Gaza and its people and starting a new war with Iran. Is it the Israeli intention in Gaza to, as Winston Churchill once said of nuclear proliferation, "make the rubble bounce?" Trump told Netanyahu to wait to bomb Iran. He said he wanted to give diplomacy a chance. Netanyahu is bombing Iran.
There is only a tiny percentage of economists who believe across the board tariffs are a good idea. Here we are and it will get much worse. Trump will take what was the Joe Biden economy that was "the envy of the world" right off the cliff.
MAGA complains they are disrespected by the "elitists." They are disrespected because their ideas are really, really bad.
After the assassin in Minnesota impersonating a police officer and murdering a Democratic lawmaker and her husband and wounding a state senator and his wife; after the unidentified ICE agents accosting people on the streets, in their schools, their churches, their baseball games, at work and in courthouses, what will it take for MAGA to understand they are wrong and un-American?
MAGA says both sides use violent political rhetoric. BS. At his rallies, Trump has urged his supporters to "punch him in the face, I'll pay your legal bills" when a heckler rises in the crowd. I have never in my long life heard a rational American politician of either party say something like that. Ever. That is gangster crap.
So, would an imposter ICE agent with an unmarked vehicle accosting and kidnapping MAGA wives or daughters and raping or killing them be enough for MAGA to see some sense?
At this point I am not sure it would.
