I firmly believe that our two-party system has lost its way in providing checks and balances in our political system. Unfortunately, the reality of our political system has made selecting someone outside of either party not viable.
John Braun has done much to counter the Democratic majority in Washington state. Going to Washington to help maintain a Republican majority is not the best use of his talents. Sen. Braun is needed in our state Senate.
Marie Gluesenkamp Perez has not always voted Democratic. Like our previous congresswoman, she votes her conscience and has been working to represent the district.
As you cast your ballot in the primary, consider whether you are supporting an extreme party belief or a person who will work for all the people in the district.
