My name is Dave Germain. I am the president of the Conservative Coalition of Lewis County.
I have lived in Lewis County for over 36 years. I have sat back and watched the local area politics.
The current issues with the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office campaign have brought some very serious problems to light and show just how great the need for change is.
The apparent accusations directed toward candidate Tracy Murphy have illustrated how questionable this election will be.
Anonymous letters to the CJTC? Centralia Police Chief Andy Caldwell fired Sergeant Murphy after 35 years with no discipline? And now a Brady list entry from the Lewis County prosecutor? Let’s all say this together: “Can you say an election steered and stolen?”
My common sense says, “What is the sheriff’s department trying to cover up?”
I have heard the rumors for years about corruption in Lewis County law enforcement. And we’ve all heard things about Sheriff Rob Snaza. None of these rumors came from Tracy Murphy.
They have come from many different sources in the community. If you put your ear to the ground you would be amazed about what you can hear.
I heard about Ott Farrier and Aron Christensen. Why haven’t charges been filed in either of these cases? Maybe Prosecutor Jonathan Meyer could explain that to us?
In my mind, I think there’s lots of apparent corruption in Lewis County law enforcement, and it isn’t Tracy Murphy. No one has heard anything from Tracy’s mouth in public. And aren’t cops supposed to talk about tips and rumors? Isn’t that how they develop leads?
But someone has fabricated the criticism of Tracy Murphy in an obvious attempt to steer and steal the election. Ask yourself “what’s going on and who benefits?”
Before the primary election comes up, maybe folks should try to sort the candidates out themselves.
Lewis County deserves an honest candidate and an honest law enforcement department.
Think about Ott Farrier and Aron Christensen before you vote.
