While The Chronicle’s publisher firmly believes Democrats are to blame, the truth is we are all looking for someone to blame for the problems with our city, state and nation.
Let’s take a breath, relax a moment and put the blame where it belongs and look in the mirror. It’s easy to blame a president, political party, a senator or congressman, a governor, a mayor or councilman.
The blame falls on us, we the people.
We were raised to be free thinking independent people. When did we lose our individuality and begin following a crowd? Party politics is the lazy person’s answer to life. Don’t think. Don’t research. Lose your voice and let the party speak for you.
Never in history has any political party had 100% of its members agree with 100% of its beliefs or policies.
Issues start at home.
Chehalis is a great town with amazing citizens and world class education but pre-school politicians. Politicians who do everything they can to not control budgets, needlessly raise costs and taxes, and run business out of town while failing to grow new and larger industries for a broader tax base.
Individuals need to look in their hearts and ask, do these politicians believe in our community, in our future, in me?
Who cares what any political party says. Are they buying your groceries? Paying you property taxes? Sending your kids to college? Use your heart and your head.
Remember, we the people, are the bosses and employers of these politicians. They work for us.
It starts at home, then county, then state and then federal government. Reclaim what is yours. Follow your heart and your head and not a party. Let’s bring people together and not force them apart. Take it all back one vote at a time and make it count. If not for your future, for the future of your children.
