In response to 16-year-old Samantha Falkner's letter to the editor on Nov. 28:
Young lady, you should thank your mother every day for deciding to not abort you. If she had, you would have no voice. It would have been silenced like the voices of 63,500,000 murdered unborn human being voices that have been silenced.
The choice women should make is to not have sex unless they're ready to bear children and raise them. Either that or use contraceptives to avoid pregnancy. I know the old “what about rape and incest” comment. Well, only 2% to 4% of abortions are from rape and incest. The rest are for the convenience of the mommy.
I read a story about a young lady who was raped and instead of getting an abortion she kept the child and the child was a blessing from God and turned out to be a very successful and contributed in a great way to society. Instead of thinking “I'm not going to have my rapist’s child,” she had the mindset that out of all this grief and pain of being forcibly raped there is a human being inside her.
Her child was born and was a very successful adult. Now should that mommy have murdered her baby?
There are also hundreds of thousands of people looking to adopt a child. My opinion is, lower the cost of adoption and make it affordable for those who want to adopt and quit murdering our most innocent, vulnerable and defenseless, our own children.
Moms are to protect their children, not murder them. I pray every night that the hard hearts that support abortion are softened to understand that abortion in a word to make murder seem less than it is. Murder, softened to support pro-life for everyone, even the unborn.
One more last thing. Have you ever noticed that all those who support pro-choice, abortion, murdering the unborn, didn't get aborted? Their moms decided to have them and raise them and love them.
