Letter to the editor: Sharon Care Center workers inspire

Posted

I recently had the opportunity to attend the Activity Conference held in Ocean Shores and organized by the Washington State Association for Activity Professionals (WSAAP).

The event was a celebration of innovation and excellence in the field of activity programming. I was particularly inspired to witness two remarkable employees from the Sharon Care Center in Centralia receive prestigious awards for their outstanding contributions.

Tammy Vessey was honored with the title of “Activity Director of the Year” for her exceptional leadership and creativity in enhancing resident engagement.

At the same time, Amy Clark, the facility’s cook, was recognized as the “Support Person of the Year” for her dedication and invaluable support to both residents and the activity department.
