Letter to the Editor: Shaffley is Gracious, Kind Leader at Port

Posted

The Port of Centralia has always been a significant economic driver in Lewis County and, under Julie Shaffley’s leadership, it has entered its current phase of booming industry.

Julie is an active member of the business community, as both an elected official and a private business owner. Her experience and her interest in our community’s success is undeniable. I want a candidate with a proven track record of pro-business decisions and quantifiable results. Julie has both.

As the owner of Good Health Nutrition Center, Julie has dedicated her life to the wellness of our community. Serving as Port Commissioner furthers that drive by attending to its economic health. She is the right person for the job.

Julie and I have both served on the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. We have also supported United Way and Boys and Girls Club events together. In watching her in these capacities, I have always found her to be a gracious, kind and fair leader. We should re-elect Julie Shaffley for Port of Centralia Commissioner and let her continue to lead us in the right direction.
