I am writing to encourage my fellow community members to support Julie Shaffley for another term as Port of Centralia commissioner.
Julie has proven herself to be a thoughtful, dedicated and effective leader. She brings honesty, kindness and professionalism to her work, and she has a deep knowledge of the port’s role in strengthening our local economy.
As a longtime business owner, she knows firsthand the importance of supporting jobs and creating opportunities for growth in our community.
Under her leadership, the port has been a positive force for Centralia — creating jobs, supporting businesses and helping ease the tax burden on our community.
Julie understands that smart, responsible growth benefits all of us, and she has consistently made decisions with the long-term health of our town in mind.
What sets Julie apart is her integrity and her genuine care for people. She listens, she learns and she works tirelessly to ensure that the port continues to be an asset for Centralia families today and for generations to come.
This is not the time to move backward. We need Julie’s steady hand, her proven experience and her commitment to progress.
