I'm thrilled to be voting for Jessie Carver for election to the Chehalis City Council.
I believe Jessie truly understands the needs of working families in our community. It's time to add her new ideas that focus on the daily realities faced by those balancing work and family life.
Jessie will work to lower the cost of and barriers to development by advocating for reviews of city zoning rules and permitting processes. She believes this is how we can make Chehalis a place where working families can afford to live, grow, and see the next generation thrive.
Jessie knows that developing enough housing is also a critical step toward addressing homelessness. Next, she believes that collaborating with community partners will help us understand why people become homeless and lead to additional, effective solutions. Everybody deserves a safe place to sleep.
Along with fair housing, Jessie believes we can have clean and safe parks in Chehalis. Parks are critical points of social interaction for young families with children. Often parks have graffiti and equipment that isn’t working. Jessie wants to improve our parks and make them safer and well maintained for children.
As a parent of a kindergartener, she deeply understands the challenges of raising a family today and wants to ensure Chehalis is a city where every family feels heard and supported. I urge you to vote for Jessie Carver for Chehalis City Council on Nov. 4.
