I, Chelsie Niemcziek, am proud to announce my endorsement of Warren McLeod for Lewis County coroner.
I know that my endorsement may come as a surprise to some, considering I ran against Warren McLeod in the primary election. However, my decision to run was never about personal differences.
It came from my calling for death investigation, my commitment to the families and individuals we serve, and my desire to see the coroner’s office continue to evolve, grow and succeed.
Throughout this election, I have had the unique perspective of not only running against both candidates, but also having a history of working alongside both of them professionally.
My decision is based on firsthand experience, personal observations and an understanding of what this position truly demands.
Warren brings decades of experience in death investigation, along with the knowledge and understanding necessary to lead an office that carries significant responsibility to our community.
Having worked directly with Warren, I have seen his dedication to his role, his commitment to the office and the value of having experienced leadership when difficult decisions must be made. We may not always agree on everything, but I have always believed that different perspectives can be valuable when the shared goal is to serve our community.
I believe character, integrity, experience and sound judgment matter, especially in a position where families depend on us during one of the hardest times of their lives.
These are not qualities I evaluate based solely on what is said during campaign seasons, but through what I have personally witnessed.
My commitment to the coroner’s office and the people of Lewis County has not changed since the primary. That same commitment is what has led me to share this endorsement.
I am proud to support Warren McLeod for reelection as Lewis County coroner, and I encourage others to do the same. (This endorsement reflects my personal views and is made in my individual capacity. I offered this endorsement myself and was not asked to do so.)
