Letter to the editor: Filled with gratitude after Centralia school levy passage

Posted

I write this letter filled with gratitude. On behalf of the Centralia School District, we extend our sincere appreciation to the voters of our community for their support in the recent levy election. We are thankful for your investment in our students and our district.

With the initial levy results indicating an almost 56% yes vote, our community has demonstrated a dedication to the future of our students.

Your investment will enable us to continue moving forward as a district in our effort to provide the highest quality education and opportunities for our students. We understand the significance of this decision by each voter and pledge to use these funds responsibly and transparently.

Accountability is important to us, and we are committed to regular updates on how the levy funds are being spent. We want every dollar to be used efficiently and effectively to improve the educational experience and outcomes for our students. Our goal is to uphold the trust you placed in us.

Your support empowers us to nurture the talents and potential of every child, preparing them to achieve academic and personal excellence.

Together, we are shaping future leaders, innovators and compassionate citizens.

I extend a heartfelt thanks to all of the individuals, organizations and public officials that worked tirelessly to advocate for the levy and to champion our students.

Special thanks to the Citizens for Centralia Schools for leading the campaign. Your dedication and collaboration have been instrumental in securing this vital funding for our students.

Your investment in education is an investment in the future. Thank you for supporting our students, our district, and our community. I continue to be honored to serve as your superintendent.
