U.S. Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez’s recent commentary on the Blue Dog Democrats was quite interesting.
It was BS, but it was interesting.
Claiming to exist since Valentine’s Day 1995, I wonder where they’ve been. I never heard of them until this article. Our esteemed representative claims membership, but all I heard in the last four years is silence while their party tried to destroy our country through wide open borders, outrageous inflation, higher taxes and uncontrolled spending.
The citizens of the country they claim to represent and are concerned for voted in a president who is taking far-reaching steps to gain some control over this out-of-control government. He’s shutting down programs wasting billions of tax-payer dollars.
He’s deweaponizing the Department of Justice. He’s looking at the spending of every department under his control. Our education system is totally incompetent, and he’s looking to fix that.
And now the Democrats are running for cover.
They whine and complain about President Trump’s cuts and suspensions of spending — spending approved by a government without control over that spending. Condoms for the Middle East? LGBTQ+ programs for schools? If it wasn’t for President Trump and DOGE, we wouldn’t know about much of the stupidity of our government.
The military is promoting to fill quotas rather than rewarding competence and leadership. And now, suddenly, the Blue Dogs are making noise about how they’re going to save our country in a bipartisan manner.
Now that something is being done about their wasteful spending, they want to work with Congress to bring spending and security under control.
Sorry, Democrats, but our president is doing what you refused to do for the last 30 years.
