The Centralia School District (CSD) Board recently created and signed the following commitment. I believe it is an example of their continuing commitment to the students of our community.
Centralia School Board — Educators for Life:
1. We believe that each and every child is a special member of our CSD family.
2. We believe that every child in CSD, from every ethnic background, can succeed academically.
3. We believe that every child in CSD, regardless of financial circumstances, can succeed academically.
4. We believe that all students have unique and personal values and that their values must be respected and every student treated equally.
5. We believe the School Board is responsible for the safety of every student and every employee.
6. We believe that the School Board is responsible for advocating the importance of public education.
7. We believe it is rewarding to be a part of Centralia and its unique culture and special history.
8. We believe it is a special privilege to serve the students of Centralia School District.
We will post this commitment in every school and every location the board meets.
