An event for the launch of “Water, Woods and Prairies” will be held at the Olympia Center on Saturday, July 16, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m.
The book, published by the Thurston County Historic Commission, is a history of Thurston County. It was edited by Sandra Crowell and Shirley Stirling and represents a major volunteer effort by 17 local history authors and experts.
The authors of “Water, Woods and Prairies” will be present at the event for a book signing and a meet and greet.
The book is distributed by The Olympia Historical Society and Bigelow House Museum. The Olympia Center is located at 222 Columbia St. NW, Olympia.
