The Tigers jumped all over the Cardinals from the first inning and never looked back on their way to a 23-0, five-inning win on Friday night in the C2BL opener at home.
Beckett Landram was the engine of a 13-hit performance by Napavine (1-0, 1-0 C2BL), going 4-for-4 with a double, triple plus driving in a whopping seven runs and scoring three times. Four other hitters notched three RBIs while Grady Wilson and Layton Griffith each notched two hits.
After plating nine in the first, the Tigers plated 11 in the second and the final three came in the third frame. Winlock (0-1, 0-1) allowed 16 walks and only notched a hit in 16 plate appearances.
Cal Bullock and Griffith combined for 12 strikeouts on the mound for Napavine. The two league foes will meet again on Monday in Winlock.
