Spurred by 18 total shots – 13 from stars Hayden Kaut and Jenna Gallagher – the Tigers stayed in the hunt for the C2BL title with a 5-0 victory over the Ducks on Monday night at home.
They would need to defeat Forks plus have Onalaska beat Toledo on Wednesday to have a three-way tie with one loss. Toledo and Napavine battled to a draw and any tiebreaking scenario is unknown. Still, the Tigers (9-4-2, 6-1-1) are in the mix thanks to Kaut’s three tallies.
She scored in the fifth, 24th and 42nd minute to put Napavine in firm control. Jenna Gallagher added another goal in the 52nd minute and Payton Reaves finished off a pass from Kaut in the 74th minute. Hannah Fay also notched two assists for the Tigers.
