Kathryn F. Estep

Lifetime resident, Kathryn F. Estep, 70, passed away peacefully at home.

She was born in Chehalis to Joseph and Frances Kostick Aug. 3, 1944. Kathryn graduated from W.F. West High School in 1962. She married John D. Estep and raised their six children together.

Kathryn, known as Kat to her friends, was active in the community. She was vice president of the Agate Auxiliary and helped make surgical dolls for the kids at Seattle Children's Hospital. She was also treasurer of the Fair Association and volunteered at the many events at the Southwest Washington Fair.

After Kathryn and her husband closed their scrap business, she worked at the call center for the Service Bureau for 17 years.

She was an enthusiastic Mariners fan, attending spring training and home games. She attended NHRA Drag Races every summer, bowled league and loved to quilt.

Kathryn was preceded in death by her grandson, Robbie D. Estep in 1997 and husband, John D. Estep in 2002.

She is survived by her three sons, Bill Estep, Joe Estep and Bob Estep; three daughters, Susie Roberts, Sheri Estep and Sandy Estep; sister, Louise Kostick; brother, Joe Kostick; and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

There will be a celebration of life potluck held at the Community Events Building at the Southwest Washington Fairgrounds, June 20, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m..

Remembrances may be donated to Seattle Children's Hospital Uncompensated Care Fund, in her name.
