Joy Rails is hosting a ribbon-cutting ceremony at noon on June 10 to kick off its 2025 season, according to a news release from the Centralia-Chehalis Chamber of Commerce.
The ribbon-cutting will take place at 1101 SW Sylvenus St. in Chehalis near the Chehalis-Centralia Railroad & Museum.
According to the release, Joy Rails is a local business that offers guests the opportunity to pedal custom-designed, open-air rail trolleys along historic, unused train tracks.
The railcars are built for comfort and safety. Joy Rails offers railcars that are pedal-only as well as electric-assist railcars.
"We're proud to offer this beautiful and scenic experience that brings people together in the great outdoors," Ben Mowatt, founder of Joy Rails, said. "Our railcars allow anyone — regardless of age or physical ability — to enjoy the beauty of the region in a completely new and accessible way."
