Jack Leon Froschauer

Jack Leon Froschauer, 72, passed away at his home in Rochester, Wash., Dec. 22, 2018. He was born Feb. 23, 1946, to David and Dolores (Buckner) Froschauer in Los Angeles, Calif.

Jack graduated from Rosemead High School in 1964, and attended Mt. Sac College in Pomona, Calif., for two years. In 1966, he left college to join the United States Army serving in Vietnam for three years. He later went to work for Centralia City Light, retiring in 2001. June 23, 2008, he married Roberta Butterworth in Laughlin, Nev. 

Jack was an avid Racing Pigeon Flyer, spending countless hours training and racing pigeons. Jack’s other hobbies were gardening, playing softball until age 50, and coaching little league. He also enjoyed traveling to Laughlin and visiting with family and friends. One of his favorite pastimes was cheering on his grandkids, rain or shine.

Jack is survived by his wife, Roberta; son, Jack L. Froschauer Jr. (Lori) of Chehalis; daughter; Lisa K. Blayney of Rochester; two grandsons, Parker C. Blayney and Cole M. Froschauer; and three granddaughters, Kaitlyn J. Blayney, Ashley C. Blayney and Addison C. Froschauer; and stepdaughters, Stormy Bradley and Wendy (Shannon) Whitson.

He was preceded in death by his father, David Froschauer; and mother, Dolores J. Froschauer.

A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m., Jan. 5, 2019, at the Grand Mound Cemetery.
