Wanda Irene (Sue) Spencer Mills went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 15, 2023, at the age of 87. She was born in Chehalis, Washington, on June 18, 1936. She was a lifelong resident of Mossyrock. She married Arnold Spencer on October 1, 1955. They were blessed with four daughters and raised them together until his death in 1982. In 1986, she married Wade Mills until his death in 1998. She is also preceded in death by her parents, O.L. (Tobe) and Irene Dahlstedt; sister Betty Belcher; brother Norman Dahlstedt; and an adopted uncle, Frank Sargent.
She was a lifetime member of the Mossyrock Grange and a member of the Mossyrock Assembly of God Church. She loved clamming, huckleberry picking, puzzles, sewing, canning, visiting Maui and cider-making in the fall.
She is survived by daughters Debbie (Jack) DeGoede, Sandy (Paul) Lehman, Brenda (Steve) Rothrock, and Linda Spencer (Ken Fleming); grandchildren Alex (Samantha) DeGoede, Angela (Jeff) Snyder, Victoria Lehman, Parker Lehman, Jillian (Mike) Merk, Steve Rothrock Jr., and Jesse Hoard; two great-grandsons, Kaden and Oliver Rothrock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at the Klickitat Cemetery in Mossyrock on March 15 at 1 p.m., followed by a potluck reception at the Mossyrock Community Center.
