In loving memory of Karen Lindelof: 1951-2023

Posted

Karen (Kreklow) Lindelof passed away on Friday, July 14, 2023, at St. Vincent Hospital in Portland, Oregon. Karen was born to Lavergne and Alvin Kreklow on April 29, 1951. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dan, and her brother, Glenn. Karen is survived by her current husband, Jeff; her children, Sarah (Jeff) Hawkins, Reyna (Mike) Miles, Sina (Tim) Mohoric and Colton (Jamie) Lindelof; many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren; as well as her brother, Karl, and sisters, Kerry, Diana, Dorothy and Lavergne.

Married to Dan, their home in the Boistfort Valley was a sanctuary of sorts. All were welcome and there was rarely an evening when cars did not fill the driveway. Karen could usually be found, butt in air, tending to one of her many beautiful flower beds or gardens. She was quick to open her home and was the host of many holiday dinners throughout the years. She was a passionate and intelligent woman, traits which she passed on to her children. In her final years, she was deeply loved and cared for by her husband, Jeff. Since her passing, her family has heard from many people with stories that start with “I remember when,” which is a sign of a life well lived. She will be missed.

A relaxed memorial and celebration of life will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 20, at the Baw Faw Grange. All are welcome
