Curt Allan Thompson was born to Curtis Irving and Fern Lucille Thompson in Tacoma, Washington.

He graduated from Foss High School in 1977 Tacoma. He spent many years working in the area at different jobs and started a family while working for public transportation, Puget Sound National Bank and two companies that worked with computers in the Tacoma and Enumclaw areas. He then took a job with Trans-Alaska Pipeline System (ALESKA) in Alaska, transferred to Florida with work and then a few years later went to truck driving school. When finished, he worked for JB Hunt, CR Englund, KLLM, MBM, Southpoint and finished his 28-year Career with Sorenson Transport Co. in Chehalis, Washington.

Curt Joined the National Guard where he spent 10 years active and two years inactive before moving to Alaska from 1978 to 1990.

Our dad taught us kids the value of hard work and providing for his family and loved ones. Despite being underestimated by people in life, he had a knack for perseverance and tackling things in the realm of the unknown with no fear, whether it was a new job, place to live or a new experience. He had a passion for life and living it his way to the fullest. He cared deeply about family, friends and coworkers and he made sure that they knew that the best way he knew how with a (smile GIF here). He also had a great taste for music, cars, movies and food. He was an aficionado of all those things.

He's resting in Heaven with those who preceded Him in death: grandparents, Franklin Wilford and Emma Jane (Irving) Thompson, of Tacoma, Washington, and Edgar Wayne and Fern Magalin (Charlet) Steinkuehler, of Cimarron, Kansas; his mother, Fern Lucille (Steinkuehler) Thompson, of Onalaska, Washington; and his nephew, Wayne Allan Thompson, of Centralia, Washington.

He's looking down from Heaven and is survived by his father, Curtis Thompson, of Rochester, Washington; his brother, Franklin (Anita) Thompson, of Troy, Montana; three sisters, Donna Thompson, of Centralia, Washington, Eva (Jesse) Valentine, of Rochester, Washington, and Nancy Hobbs Hobbs, of Charlotte, North Carolina; three sons, Joshua Thompson, of Lakeland, Florida, Jonathan (Melissa) Thompson, of Summerville, Florida, and Jason Thompson, Lakeland, Florida; four grandchildren, Jordan, Hunter, Kaydence and Brycen, all of Summerville, Florida; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces who loved him and will miss him dearly.

He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter and zest for life and how to live it, leaving no moments out so there would not be any regrets in life.

A family graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. at Alpha Cemetery, Onalaska, Washington. Following the family service, there will be a celebration of Curt's life for family and friends at The Valentine's Place, 16707 Williams Lane SW, Rochester, Washington.
