In loving memory of Sherry Buswell: Dec. 9, 1951 - Aug. 23, 2023

Sherry Theresa Buswell died unexpectedly on Aug. 23, 2023. Sherry was born in 1951 in Houston, Texas, to JoAnn and Larry Hoffman. She met the love of her life when they moved to Vader, Washington, and attended high school in Toledo. There she met Carl Buswell, who would be her high school sweetheart and they would be bonded in love in a way no one can express properly in words.

They were married for 49 years and together for 55, and she was an amazing mother to three children.

She enjoyed traveling, being kind to everyone and being easy going. She loved to bake, cook and take care of her beloved papillon, Boogie Bear. She also enjoyed spending time with family and with their lifelong friends Jim and Peg Fluckinger. She was always ready for an adventure, and laughing with her huge, beautiful smile.

Sherry loved being a grandmother, and took pride in being the best one around. She had eight wonderful grandkids, one of whom asked God if he could have her visit for one last hug and kiss.

Sherry was always described as a ray of sunshine and took her time in being kind and loving to us all. She cherished life and was a strong woman who was loved by so many. She always thought of others and loved being at the beach with her hubby, eating crab and watching the waves.

She leaves behind her beloved husband, Carl; her three children, CJ (Jenna), Jerad (Kirsten) and Theresa (Heith); two sisters, Myrna (Terry) and Denise (Glenn); and one brother, LJ, (Carrie), of Vader; and eight grandkids.

There will be a private memorial for family and close friends at a later time. In lieu of flowers and gifts, Sherry would have loved any donations to go to the local Humane Society shelters or the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals.
