In loving memory of Shawn Grubb: 1969-2025

Posted

Shawn Grubb passed away Dec. 24, 2025, in Centralia, Washington, surrounded by love. She was born Nov. 19, 1969, in Chehalis, Washington, to Judith and Kenneth Grubb. Shawn was many things in her life, but above all else, she was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Her love was deep, unconditional and constant—something her family will carry with them forever.

She attended Rochester High School and was a proud member of the Class of 1988.

Shawn was the proud mother of two daughters, Natasha Loew (Arnulfo) and Ashley Bouck (Amber). Being a mom was her greatest purpose and her greatest joy. She poured her heart into her girls and later into her five grandchildren (Whitney, Isaiah, Liam, Corbin and Cohen), loving each of them fiercely and completely. Her family was her whole world, and everything she did was rooted in love for them.

Shawn had a heart that never stopped giving. She lived with compassion, kindness and an open soul, always thinking of others before herself. Some of her most cherished moments were spent at the beach, feeling the warmth of the sun and the sand beneath her feet, laughing, running and making memories with her children and grandchildren. Those moments brought her peace and happiness, and they will forever live on in the hearts of those who shared them with her.

Shawn was one of four siblings. She was preceded in death by her sister, Tina; her brother, Marty; her father, Kenneth; and her beloved life partner, Taylor. The grief of these losses shaped her, yet never hardened her heart. She continued to love deeply and without hesitation. She is survived by her brother, Darrell.

The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to Silver Acres Adult Family Home and Assured Hospice of Centralia for the gentle, compassionate and loving care they provided to Shawn during her final days. Their kindness will never be forgotten.

Shawn’s love did not end with her passing. It lives on through her children, her grandchildren and the countless lives she touched with her warmth, strength and selfless heart. She will be missed beyond words, loved beyond measure, and remembered every single day.
