It is with love and sadness that we announce the passing of Sharon “Jolene” (Prohaska) Jerome-Tiekamp, who passed away on October 15, 2025, at the age of 83.
Jolene will be remembered for the joy she found in life’s simple treasures. She had a special love for thrifting, always able to find hidden gems and treasures where others might not look. She loved square dancing and was an accomplished accordion and organ musician, bringing energy and laughter wherever she played. Her kitchen was often filled with the comforting warmth of fresh baked treats, made with love for family and friends.
Above all else, Jolene adored babies, and her gentle, loving nature made everyone around her feel cared for.
She was welcomed home by her parents, Joseph and Maude Prohaska; her sister, Janet Prohaska Schutzer; her sons, Forest and Don Jerome; her husbands; and her pets. She leaves behind her beloved Zoe; her sons, Duane (Mollie) Beaver and Dennis (Heather) Beaver; her brother, Steven Prohaska; and many grandchildren and friends who will forever miss her presence, warmth, and unforgettable spirit. A memorial service to celebrate Jolene’s life will be held on April 12 at 12 p.m. at 2545 N. National Ave., Chehalis, WA 98532.
She will be laid to rest with her husband, Donald Jerome Sr., at Odd Fellows in Olympia Washington.
Her memory will live on in every treasured thrift-store find, every warm batch of cookies, every accordion note, every dance step, and every baby held close with love.
