Phillip Brian Wade passed away peacefully at his home in Toledo, Washington, on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at the age of 53.
Phil was a loving, caring and wonderful man who has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be greatly missed by his wife and best friend of 25 years, Sherri; his daughter, Ashley (Ariel) Ostara; his mom, Dedra Wade; brother, Scott (Dana) Wade; sisters, Milissia (Jim) Snider and Lonni Wade; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Fred and Eva Bopp, and Knox and Elaine Burgess; and his father, Noel Wade.
He was born in Longview, Washington, on May 23, 1971, and grew up in Winlock, Washington. He was a standout athlete and still holds the high school track record for the triple jump. Family was the pivotal essence of Phil’s life. He was proud and honored to be a husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. Phil spent the last 13 years at Awesome Ford as a sales associate, and those he worked with became his second family. He was a major presence in the lives of everyone he knew.
Phil was passionate about the outdoors and spent every moment he could hunting, fishing and camping with his family and friends. His ubiquitous sense of humor bordered on zany, and he was never satisfied with "that’s the way it’s always been done." Phil will be forever remembered for his caring heart, sense of humor and unconditional love. Although our hearts are heavy, we will celebrate his life and find comfort that he is in heaven watching over us.
Funeral: A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, April 13, from noon to 3 p.m. at Fort Borst Kitchen No. 1 in Centralia, Washington. A meal will be provided.
