In Loving Memory of Peggy Bodine: 1942-2022

Posted

Peggy May Bodine was born in Centralia, Washington, to Pete and Vera Devlin on June 8, 1942. She died in Portland, Oregon on July 1, 2022.

Peggy was raised in Centralia and graduated in 1960. That same year, she found Mickey Bodine, and got married and soon after adopted Fred, their son.

In Centralia, Washington, Peggy worked in the mobile home industry for several years and then went to college, got her associate’s degree and got a job with the Department of Social and Health Services where she retired in 2008. Once she retired, she enjoyed traveling around Southern California and Oregon in a motorhome and RVing full-time for several years until health prevented further camping adventures.

Peggy was a member of the Chehalis Eagles for 50-plus years. She was also a member of the Coos Bay Red Hat Ladies. She also loved going on quilt hops with her best friends.

Peggy is survived by her husband Mike Bodine, her son Fred Bodine, brother Jerry Devlin, nephew Larry Yeager, niece Christina Vancleave, grandson Chance Bodine, granddaughter Candice Murphy, and three great-grandbabies.

There will be a celebration of life and potluck at noon on Aug. 7, 2022, at Fort Borst Park Kitchen Number 2. In Loving Memory of Delores Wilson: 1934-2020
