In Loving Memory of Paulina M. Wood: 1942-2022

Paulina M. (Mitchell) Wood lost her medical battle on Sunday, July 10 in Centralia. She was born September 8, 1942, to Ira and Bertha (Boeck) Mitchell in Centralia. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters: Arlene Kenyon & Eva Kovel. 

She is survived by her brothers and sisters: Roberta Backman, Jeanette deLaurentie, Olga (Denny) Ray, Otto (Rose) Mitchell, Alice Evans, Robert (Debbie) Mitchell, Ralph, Ronnie & Rick Mitchell and numerous nieces and nephews. 

She is also survived by her children Mike Gleason, Brenda (Kelly) Noltensmeier and Nichole (Chuck) Lantau; Grandchildren; Keith Lantau, Ryan (Jaime) Gleason, Kenny (Katie) Lantau, Patrick Noltensmeier, Kelsey (Lucas) Revetria, Kristen Lantau, Marrisa (Chris) Gerrits; and Great Grandchildren; Layla Gleason and Kayleigh & Kaleb Lantau. 

Paulina was a loving mother that raised her three children with Lloyd Gleason in Napavine. She enjoyed baking, sewing and later in life western dancing. She was an excellent cook with the passion to serve everyone good food. She remarried in 1999. Paulina will be missed by ALL! 

Paulina was laid to rest in the Grand Mound Cemetery on Thursday, July 14, 2022. 

A memorial potluck for family and friends will be held on Saturday, August 6 at 2 p.m. at the Noltensmeier residence in Rochester.
