In loving memory of Meaghan Ashlee Reynolds: 1995-2025

Posted
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our daughter, mother, wife, and friend, Meaghan Ashlee Reynolds (Hicks), who left this world far too soon at the age of 30 due to complications from her second heart transplant.

Meaghan was born March 25, 1995, in Tacoma, Washington, and from the very beginning, she was a force — smart, funny, and unapologetically herself. She had no filter and no fear when it came to speaking her mind, which only made her more unforgettable. Her laugh was loud, her love was fierce, and her presence was impossible to ignore. Her strength, compassion, and unshakable spirit carried her through many challenges, especially during her health journey.

Despite the hardships she faced, Meaghan lived with humor and fierce determination. She loved deeply, lived life on her own terms, and had a soul that was pure fire. Her passion for music, animals, and helping others was only matched by her love for her family, friends, and all those fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her parents, Shannon (Matthew) Travis, mother, and Jason (Tara) Hicks, father; her brothers, Logan Hicks and Cody Celata; her Nana, Sharyl O'Danne; her husband, Branden Reynolds; and her three beautiful daughters, Aryana, Emilee, and Tori, who were her greatest joy and her strongest motivation through every trial she faced.

Though her time with us was far too short, Meaghan leaves a lasting legacy of courage, kindness, and love. Her memory will live on in our hearts and in the countless lives she touched.

Meaghan’s passing was unexpected and came as a shock, which left our family reeling and trying to come to terms with our grief. We, as a family, had to take some time to grieve and process her sudden passing before we could share the loss with others.

A celebration of life for Meaghan will be held Oct. 4, 2025, at Frontier Park in Graham, Washington, from noon to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in her memory to the American Heart Association at https://www.heart.org in support of heart transplant research.

She will be missed every day that she’s gone — but we will carry her fire with us always.
