In loving memory of Martin Max Jungmayer

Posted

Martin Max Jungmayer, a lifetime resident of Bucoda, Washington, graduated from Centralia High School in 1942, starting his career with The Daily Chronicle, where he retired after 42 years.

Martin loved the outdoors, most of all hunting. This led to him starting the Skookumchuck MudDaubers Jeep Club out of his hunting party.

Martin and his wife, Valarie, remained active members of the club leading into the third generation of fiJungmayers holding offices within the club.

Martin and his wife Valarie raised their family in the Bucoda community, treating all their neighbors and friends like family.

On Feb. 16, 2024, Martin started his journey onto the next chapter. Preceding him in death was his wife of 63 years, Valarie Jungmayer; his mother and father, Max and Martha; and his older brother, Carl W. Jungmayer.

Martin is survived by his twin brother, Perry (June) Jungmayer; and children Carl (Amy), Lora and Darren Jungmayer.

Martin also enjoyed time with his grandkids, Amanda (Craig), Jay (Jean) and Bo Jungmayer; and four great-granddaughters, Rylee, Khloee, Mya and Alani.

A celebration of life will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. March 16, 2024 at the Bucoda Community Center, 101A E. Seventh St., Bucoda, Washington.
