Manley Joseph Niemcziek, 91, of Centralia, Washington, passed away peacefully on June 2, 2025. He was born on May 4, 1934, to Stanley and Sophia Niemcziek and spent the majority of his life in the Willapa Valley community, which he thoroughly enjoyed.
A proud 1952 graduate of Valley High School, Manley continued his education at Grays Harbor College and earned his degree from Washington State University. He served his country with honor, enlisting in the U.S. Army in 1957 and later serving in the Army Reserves.
Manley's professional journey included work at Darigold and Stihl Power Supply before he became the owner of Evergreen Pacific Tree Planting and Logging Company.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Frances, Washington, and later St. Mary’s in Centralia, and a lifetime member of the Lewis-Pacific Swiss Society. Manley had a deep love for music, often playing the accordion at his home for family and friends. In his younger days, he was a member of a high school dance band and the Louie Kuttel Swiss Band. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and welcoming friends and family into his home with warmth and generosity.
Manley is survived by his wife, Neva Niemcziek; sister-in-law, Linda Drake; brothers-in-law, Bill West and Lonnie West; stepsons, Jeff (Gina) Langer and Michael (Kelli) Langer; grandchildren, Courtney Langer, Aaron Langer, Drew Langer, Jillian Casey and Leah Langer; and six great-grandchildren. He is also fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins, including his twin brother’s son, Steve Niemcziek.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his twin brother, Stanley Niemcziek; sisters, Dorothy Strago, Lena Hartstrum and Josephine Langer; and his grandson, Brady Langer.
A Rosary will be held in Manley’s honor on July 26 at 10:30 a.m., followed by a funeral service at Holy Family Catholic Church in Frances, Washington, and a reception at the Ruth Center next to the church.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Manley’s name to the Holy Family Catholic Church Altar Society in Frances, Washington, or the Willapa Valley Alumni Scholarship Fund.
Manley will be remembered for his enduring spirit, love of tradition, and the joy he brought to all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the hearts of his family and friends.
