Karyn P. Norris, 78, passed away on March 12, 2026, at Providence Centralia Hospital, surrounded by her family. Born June 23, 1947, in Morton, WA, to Clair and Mayme Pierson, Karyn was raised on the family farm in Randle before moving to Centralia, where she graduated from Centralia High.

In 1966, she married and began a life dedicated to her family. Known as a "jack of all trades," her most cherished role was that of a mother. Karyn was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Norris; and siblings Winnie, Roy, and Jim. She is survived by her three children, Shay Howard, Tyanna Bertholl (Darian), and Natalie Alcatraz (Mik); seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

A woman of many talents, Karyn was known for her "green thumb," maintaining a meticulously landscaped yard and vibrant flowerpots. When not in her garden, she was in the kitchen, carrying on her mother’s legacy. She was a master of everything from spaghetti bake and chicken tacos to her famous flaky-crusted blackberry pie.

Karyn also found joy in the simple pleasures of life: searching for agates at the river, caring for her Rottweilers, and maintaining the perfect summer swimming pool for her family to enjoy. She will be remembered for her quick wit, generous heart, and the unique way she made every person feel special.

A c elebration of life will be announced at a later date.
