In Loving Memory of Karen Lynn Wilson: 1955-2022

Karen Lynn Wilson, 67, of Centralia, Washington, passed away Oct. 24, 2022, at home. Karen was born May 31, 1955, in Richwood, West Virginia to Wayne Charles Dotson and Etta Vivian Chapman. She was one of five children.  

On June 3, 1972, Karen married Michael Earl Wilson in Randle, Washington. In 1975, Karen graduated from White Pass High School in Randle. Together, they shared three children with 50 years of marriage and many travels. 

For 30 years, Karen and Michael kept their faith in attendance at the Church of Nazarene, Randle, alongside eight years with Quartzite Southern Baptist Church in Arizona.

She was preceded in death by her mother Etta Chapman, sisters Ann Justice and Etta Chubbuck, and brother Wheeler Dotson. Survivors include Karen’s husband Michael Wilson; brother Wayne Dotson; sister Mary Edland; children David Wilson, Melissa Engel and Chris Wilson; and grandchildren Michael Wilson, Alex Engel, Gracie Engel, Isaiah Engel, Hayden Baker, Colter Baker, Zariah Wilson and Vivilynn Wilson.  

Karen enjoyed many things in her lifetime like Disneyland, books, the library and traveling. She liked to craft jewelry and took great pride in raising her family. Being a wife and mother was her world. She loved her family most of all. Karen had a zest for life and said “I love you” as often as possible. She will be missed. 

A service was held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 31, 2022, at Brown Mortuary Service in Morton. A burial followed in the Silver Creek Cemetery, Randle.
